Wanted to share some coffee I’ve had lately that has knocked my socks off.
- Peak City Coffee Roasters (Apex, NC) — Full Steam blend. Delicious and unique. Support local!
2. Slingshot Coffee Co. (Raleigh, NC; bought at ELK Local Foods in Apex) — Ready-to-drink cold brew. Probably the smoothest canned cold brew I’ve ever had.
3. Counter Culture (Durham, NC) — Fast Forward blend. This is a CC blend I’d never had before, and I was pleased. Though I got a batch with whole beans, unfortunately my standard drip coffee pot didn’t handle it so well. I learned from the folks over at Peak City Coffee Roasters that I may have the wrong type of grinder. There are apparently two types — wheel grinders and burr grinders — the husband-wife team at Peak City explained. I will try the burr grinder next time and see if that helps with a better output.
