MealPal Day 11: Niko Niko Sushi & Bowl
Address: 133 John St., New York, NY
Day of the week: Wednesday
Order: Chicken Teri Bento Box
Chicken terriyaki bento box served with choice of rice, seaweed salad, 3 pieces of California roll and 2 pieces of shumai.
Value: $9.50

This was such a nice mix-up from my usual MealPal order—a salad or a quesadilla or a rice bowl—and I’m so glad I did it. I had never tried Niko Niko until yesterday, despite how close it is to my office on Wall Street. I was impressed! Honestly, the chicken was the star of this lunch. The sushi/shumai were okay, and the seaweed salad was fine. But that chicken! Yaaasss queeen!

Not a bad experience with this MealPal (but my biggest annoyance was how long I had to wait for this meal—about 15 minutes). I’d come back for the food (read: the chicken), but probably not through MealPal if the wait time was this long again.
ICYMI: Here’s my intro post as to what I’m doing (MealPal) and why I’m doing it (to eat good food in New York City without spending a fortune).
