24 things I gained from cleaning out my closet

When I was home last weekend, I went through my closet. Here are 24 things I found (or re-found, even if I didn’t want to re-find them).

Young Boy Businessman Shoots Arrows at Target

1) Photos from camp.

2) An old iPod. Anyone know where I can sell that puppy for 20 big ones?

3) My old Canon PowerShot, with dust on it. How things have changed.

4) Orajel. I didn’t even know I had Orajel. I don’t think I’ve ever even used Orajel.

5) A lot of handwritten letters.

6) A lot of Hallmark cards from my Aunt Kathy.

7) A Kelis CD. She still performs.

8) Tums. Can always use these.

9) Old label-maker. Still works.

10) An airplane bottle of Kahlua. Busted it open to try. Remembered the reason I never opened it in the first place.

11) Three pairs of old Apple headphones.

12) Pens. Lots of pens.

13) A fake flower. What the hell am I gonna do with a fake flower?

14) Old makeup. *Grabs trash can but hesitates to actually throw anything away* (I know you know.)

15) My first plane ticket to New York in 2003.

16) Prescription glasses from the ’90s. Yikes.

17) 89 cents. Cha-ching.

18) My old chorus gown. Damn, you sexy.

19) The one condom I stashed away but never used in high school.

20) Mittens.

21) Journals. I went back and read them, and god damn, I was dramatic.

22) Old soccer cleats. All the feels.

23) A bathing suit I forgot I bought. The problem is, the current size of my butt. It’s bigger.

24) More pens.

May this serve as a lesson to:

1) Get rid of stuff more frequently.

2) Don’t get rid of everything so quickly. It can bring back some vivid memories.

3) Take Allegra before closet-diving.

And I’m off (to clean my closet). Until next time.
