Serenade Sunday

For your thought-provoking, “It’s time to evaluate and take action starting that new chapter of my life,” …yet weirdly-relaxing Sundays.

Cat sits in the white plate

Note: I saw Gregory Alan Isakov in concert this past Friday at the Cat’s Cradle in Chapel Hill. It was an amazing show, with songs evoking every possible emotion one could imagine in a single set. Each member of the three-man band was extremely talented on their respective instruments AND more. Beautiful harmonies. Beautiful men. Beautiful music. What more could you ask for?

AM

You woke up late today, had 1 (or 2…okay fine it was 3) cups of coffee this afternoon at brunch. But hey, it’s after 4 p.m. and you’ve only got a few more hours left of this weekend freedom until you have to organize your thoughts (and your e-mail) for the upcoming week. Enjoy it while it lasts.

2. Dandelion Wine – Gregory Alan Isakov

3. Now And At The Hour of Our Death – The Brilliance

4. The Astronaut – Gregory Alan Isakov

PM

The realistic nature of Sundays: It’s time for a brand new week. Power up the Keurig for that fourth coffee.

1. The Ghost Inside – Broken Bells

2. Overjoyed – Bastille

3. How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep – Bombay Bicycle Club

4. I Was A Fool – Tegan and Sara

5. Just go ahead and listen to the whole album of Haim because these chicks are amaze-balls. So badass.

Happy Sunyay.
